What's in a name?
Congenuity is a made up name with two parts:
- Con-
This prefix suggests together, with, or connected. - -genuity
This part closely resembles ingenuity (creativity, cleverness) and genuine (authentic, real)
So, putting the parts together, the name means helping people come together to solve problems in authentic, creative ways. I think it's perfect for what I hope to do: document some of the events and issues that have required creative thinking where the solutions were not clear.
I first came up with this as the name of my personal IT consulting firm in 2003 when I was first getting started with small business consulting work. When I decided to explore salaried opportunities for work, I kept the domain name registered, and now I'm bringing it back into use to share some of my experiences.
I hope to build a network of colleagues that are interested in listening to my thoughts, but also challenging ideas that help us grow as leaders, together.
